The 14U group is typically comprised of 13 & 14 year olds that are in middle school.  This group typically practices twice a week in the off season, with a heavy emphasis placed on batting practice and building arm strength by playing long-toss as they adjust to playing on the larger fields.  A player's age is determined as of August 31st of the following year, in preparation of their upcoming spring/summer baseball seasons (Little League, Middle School, High School, American Legion).
